Mac marks its 25th Anniversary

January 2009 marks a completion of an era into the history of Apple . January 25 marks the successful completion of 25 years since the introduction of  Mac to the computing world.

It all started out on January 26th 1984 when Apple unveiled Macintosh to the world , thus radically changing the face of the PC market .

Lets go back and watch how apple grows in time and revolutionizes the world .

On January24, 1984 , Apple’s MAC computer was unveiled with  with a 8MHz powered CPU which was quite powerful and impressive back then . It was backed by a 128kb memory (the actual memory was 192kb but 64 kb was utilized for the programs to be stuffed) . It also made use of mouse with back then was only offered by APPLE’s  LISA . The most impressive part of the MAC was the Graphic User Interface(GUI) which was a major improvement over Apple’s failing LISA series .

On September 20, 1989 , MAC unveiled its first compact portable computer SE/30 making it mobile .

On February 19, 1990 , ADOBE’S  most popular image editor was debuted exclusively on the MAC .Later it went on to integrate with windows .

On August 15, 1998IMAC is unveiled which consisted of USB ports sans Floppy Drive . This created a major stir in the global computing market .

On July 21, 1999,  apple create a wireless-networking revolution by the introduction of AirPort.

On January 10, 2008   MAC shifts to Intel processors abandoning their long time Motorola and IBM processors .

On  April 5, 2008  introduce a technology called BOOT CAMP which allows their Intel powered systems to run Windows operating system .

On January 15, 2008  MAC Book Air is unveiled which is by far the most thinnest and lightest MAC laptop weighing 1.4KG and merely 0.75 inches thick .

this article reminds of a quoted which i read almost a year back the quote says
"two people at Apple Steve Jobs and Wozniak came up with strange idea of selling information processing machines (computers)(Wozniak designed a single board computer and called it Apple-1).But around the same time around Bill Gates and Paul Allen came up with even more strange and weird idea of selling computer operating systems this two ideas changed the world forever ."
